A povidone-iodine, 0.5% preprocedural rinse recommended to treat and provide temporary relief of sore throat symptoms. Patient gargles with 10 mL of this rinse—full strength—for 30 seconds, and then expectorates. With a gargle, the solution is used in the back of the throat, while with a rinse/mouthwash, it is used in the mouth to swish the product between teeth. Not recommended for children under 12. Mint flavored.
