Advancing Policies, Solutions, and Innovation

Henry Schein works to bring awareness and advocate for a healthier tomorrow by empowering health care professionals and removing barriers for integrated health care. We do this by advancing policies, solutions and innovation.

Pandemic Supply Chain Network (PSCN)

The PSCN is an innovative public-private partnership co-founded by Henry Schein in the wake of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa in 2014 that includes the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Economic Forum, the UN World Food Program, the World Bank, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), UNICEF, and more than 100 private sector companies. Through its development of a platform for data sharing, market visibility, and operational coordination for critical healthcare products, the PSCN makes it easier for both governments and private sector partners to anticipate and respond to supply chain disruptions.

SHE: Systemic Health Entrepreneurs

The Henry Schein Cares Foundation and CareQuest Institute for Oral Health created SHE: Systemic Health Entrepreneurs, which serves as a unique brand, to create a dynamic movement and build a community of key practitioner stakeholders from both professions to meaningfully advance interdisciplinary clinical collaboration by encouraging behavior changes, business innovation, and sustained communication.

Consortium for Medically Necessary Oral Health Coverage

In the U.S., as a key member of the Consortium, we contribute and serve as a key member to advocate for the expansion of Medicare coverage for medically-necessary oral care, a change that advances the ability of patients over the age of 65 and individuals with disabilities to access the holistic care they need.

Thought Leadership

Partnerships such as with the Santa Fe Group and The Harvard Initiative Integrating Oral Health and Medicine are essential in continuing to advocate for and foster the integration of oral health and overall health. We work collaboratively with many in the health care industry and public health arena to break down the silos and promote an integrated approach to health care for improved overall health outcomes and lower costs of care. We have long advocated for the importance of oral health as part of overall health, which the World Health Organization highlighted in their first global oral health status report released in November 2022.
