The only digital imaging system specially developed for the podiatry office. It uses a reusable film substitute to capture latent images. A phosphor plate is placed inside an X-ray cassette (instead of film and screens) and is exposed in the normal manner using existing X-ray equipment. The plate is read by the ScanX and the image information is sent to a computer for viewing and storage. These phosphor plates may be reused thousands of times. In addition, the system will reduce X-ray exposure by over 50% when clinician uses blue sensitive film. Takes both 8" x 10" and 10" x 12" X-rays and allows the clinician to take 2 views on a single 10" x 12" plate.
