3) Will the light burn a patient?

5) How often can a patient safely use this product?

Answer: Everyone is different, but offering this treatment four times a year should not pose any problems, as our gel is gentle on healthy gums and dental work. It's recommended to always consult your dentist before doing any type of teeth whitening. Click here for Safety/Contraindications »

6) Do the teeth get whiter in the hours following the whitening?

Answer: Teeth are susceptible to getting darker or lighter in the first 24 hours immediately following a treatment. This is when the teeth are rehydrating and the Ph balance is returning to normal. This is also the time in which the tubules are able to take in a substance that will whiten them (i.e. Our whitening pen). For this reason we ask the patients to start using the whitening pen the night of the procedure and to closely follow the directions on the Post-op instructions »

7) Does the pen "really" work?

Answer: YES! The whitening pen is our saturation process, which is the equivalent to popular drugstore teeth whitening strips (which has been proven to work well). When used at home with the treatment tray, more solution remains to saturate the teeth, resulting in improved performance. Used correctly, the whitening pen is good for up to 60 applications.

Answer: Children under 13 may have excessive sensitively because their nerves have not fully formed. They can have excessive sensitivity due to their large nerve/pulp chambers.
