Nylon is a non-absorbable, sterile surgical suture composed of the long- chain aliphatic polymers Nylon 6 or Nylon 6,6. Nylon sutures are dyed black (Logwood Extract). Nylon surgical sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurological procedures.
