These sterile, synthetic, absorbable, surgical sutures contain triclosan, a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent. Used extensively for nearly 50 years, triclosan is an antimicrobial agent that coats the sutures as an added layer of protection. Available in 3 absorbable polymers: PDS (monofilament), Monocryl™ (monofilament), and Vicryl™ (multifilament braided) in a broad array of sizes, lengths, and needle types.
