The American Heart Association recommends that all adults age 20 or older have their cholesterol and other traditional risk factors checked every four to six years. With an accurate measurement of total cholesterol (TC) (both LDL and HDL cholesterol), you can develop the best plan for a patient to manage his or her cholesterol levels, through changes in diet, weight management, physical activity, and drug treatment.

Henry Schein is proud to offer lipid-testing tools from the brands you trust, including Alere, a leader in point-of-care lipid testing.
