The low dead space (LDS) feature minimizes loss of material, and can be combined with low dead space needles for additional product savings. In addition to helping reduce needle pop-off, the luer lock mechanism allows for the exchange of needle (such as using a large gauge needle for draw-up and a fine gauge for injection).
