Iontophoresis is a popular treatment administered by athletic trainers and physical therapists to help injured or recovering athletes by using electricity to drive medication through an athlete's skin and into the injured muscle. The medication distributed via iontophoresis is within a specific solution with polarity that is either positive or negative. This system uses this polarity to push medication into the athlete's skin and surrounding tissue to activate the healing process.

The Dynatron® ibox™ is an iontophoresis device that generates single or dual phase (polarity) treatments. The ibox™ regularly updates treatment times based on any fluctuation that occurs during treatment. The display showcases all parameters for the single or dual phase session. Leads connect to snap connectors on electrodes through the tactile keypad.
The easy-to-use Dynatron® ion was created to provide a uniformed distribution of electrical current for powerful and safe drug delivery. The return electrode includes a patented buffered gel precisely designed for iontophoresis. The buffered delivery electrode maintains pH up to 80 mA-min. Dynatron ions are sold in small, medium, and large butterfly sizes and are separated into treatment packs.
